ALEXANDRIA, La. – The LSU Shreveport men's basketball team could not slow down the no. 2 LSU Alexandria Generals at The Fort on Wednesday night in Red River Athletic Conference action as the Generals powered their way to a 103-75 victory over the Pilots. The no. 2 Generals improve to 10-0 and 3-0 in the RRAC while the Pilots stumble to 8-3 and 2-1 in the league.
Tyrell Springer (SR/Springfield, Massachusetts) made the first bucket of the game for the Pilots but that was their only lead of the contest as LSUA's Evan Smith answered with a three-pointer on the other end to give the home squad the lead for good.
The Pilots were led in scoring by David Holmes (SO/Shreveport, Louisiana) with 22 points while Greg Pollins (SR/Texarkana, Texas) and Uzonna Akazi (SR/Queens, New York) were the other two double digit scorers with 16 points each as the Pilots shot 47-percent from the field.
LSUA produced four double digit scorers and made 50-percent of their shots from the field including 11-of-27 from downtown but were led in scoring by Brandon Moss who got the majority of his 24 points in the paint on 11-of-14 shooting.
