JUNIOR (2013): played in 40 games and hit .347 with his only extra-base hit a home run as he drove in a total of 20 runs for the season…gunned down four of 27 runners on the bases.

SOPHOMORE (2012): was a solid presence behind the plate for the Pilots leading them to a 3^rd place finish at the NAIA World Series…hit .394 with six doubles and drove in 32 runs which are all his career highs at LSUS…threw out 10 of 24 runners on the base paths.

Previous School: played one season for Coaches Jared Gaston and Curtis Lay at Frank Phillips Planesmen…was selected to play in the All Star game after freshman season.

High School: lettered three years for Coaches Dave Lazand and Scott Rhodes…1^st Team All-District, 1^st Team All-State… selected to the North vs South All Star Game after senior season.

Personal: born David James Dorton on November 14, 1991, in Champaign, Illinois…son of Scott and Eilleen Dorton…has one brother, Eric…has one sister, Rachael.
