CANCER SURVIVOR: David Diaz was diagnosed with Stage-2 Lymphoma and Hodgkin's cancer in August 2011 and has been cancer FREE since January 2012!

Previous Schools: played one season at Vernon Junior College for Coach Kevin Lallmann…played one season for Coach Robert Dally at Cedar Valley College…played one season at Tarleton State for Coach Brian Conger.

High School: lettered four years at South Hills High School for Coach Santos Casillas…All-District second baseman…two-time Utility Player of the Year…named to DFW Super Team as a short stop.

Personal: born David Diaz on September 21, 1990, in Fort Worth, Texas…son of Stephanie Martinez and Daniel Diaz…has two brothers; Luis and Daniel Diaz…has one sister, Ana Diaz.
