Pilots Secure Victory Over North American University, 61-48

Shreveport, LA – The Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS) women's basketball team powered past North American University (NAU) on Thursday night, claiming a 61-48 win at The Dock. The Pilots delivered a strong defensive performance and balanced scoring to improve their overall record to 8-3 and 7-1 in Red River Athletic Conference play.

Alexis Brown led the offensive charge for the Pilots, finishing with 12 points. Vicky Parra dominated the paint, grabbing nine rebounds and swatting away six shots, while Erynn Williams showcased her defensive prowess with an impressive seven steals.

North American University was paced by Victoria Moore and Kayla Dickey, who each contributed 13 points. Dickey added five steals to her stat line, while Ja'naa Johnson posted a solid effort with 10 points and six rebounds. Maurdaisha Powell chipped in eight rebounds for the Mustangs.

The Pilots will return to action at The Dock on Saturday, December 14, for a special Christmas Toy Drive and Ugly Sweater Game against Huston-Tillotson University. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. Fans are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy for free admission.
