Pilots Cruise Past North American with Dominant Defensive Effort

Stafford, Texas – The LSUS women's basketball team put together a commanding performance on Saturday afternoon, securing a 69-42 victory over North American University.

The Pilots (21-3, 20-1 RRAC) were led by Erynn Williams, who stuffed the stat sheet with 21 points and eight steals, setting the tone on both ends of the floor. Paula Gonzalez Herrero matched her scoring output, finishing with 21 points, five rebounds, and two blocks, as LSUS used a balanced offensive attack to control the game from start to finish.

LSUS found its rhythm early and never looked back, shooting an efficient 43.3% from the field, a scorching 58.8% from beyond the arc, and 77.8% from the free throw line. Tiara Tillison and Alexis Brown orchestrated the offense, dishing out six assists each to keep the Pilots in sync.

North American (10-14, 6-13 RRAC) struggled to find its footing against LSUS's stifling defense. Elisa Peralta led the Stallions with 10 points, five rebounds, five steals, and four assists, but NAU was held to just 31.9% shooting from the floor and 26.7% from three-point range.

With another decisive win in the books, LSUS will turn its attention to a return to The Dock on Thursday, Feb. 13, when they take on Texas A&M University-San Antonio.
