LSU Shreveport Weightlifting Shines at North American Open Series II

Fort Worth, Texas – LSU Shreveport weightlifting turned in a strong showing at the USA Weightlifting North American Open Series II, held August 28-31 in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Pilots claimed multiple podium finishes in the junior division, highlighted by first-place performances from Bryson Brown, Henry Ludbrook, and Clair Callahan. Penelope Desjardins also impressed, securing a second-place finish in the same division.

The results mark another step forward for the growing LSUS weightlifting program, which continues to establish itself on the national stage.

LSUS weightlifting will return to competition on September 6, when the Pilots host athletes from across the region at the Southern WSO Championships in Shreveport, La.
