LSU Shreveport baseball standout Carlos Sanchez became the highest Major League Baseball Draft selection in program history Sunday when he was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 10th round with the 290th overall pick.
Three LSU Shreveport baseball student-athletes were recognized by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association (LSWA) following the 2026 season, as Brock Lucas and Carlos Sanchez earned First Team All-Louisiana honors and Quaterrion Walton was selected as an honorable mention.
