Morgan to Serve as NAIA-ADA President for 2026-27

WESTLAKE, OHIO - The NAIA Athletics Directors Association (NAIA-ADA) has selected Lucas Morgan, director of athletics at LSU-Shreveport, to serve as President for the 2026-27 membership year. 

"It is an honor and a privilege to serve as the next President of the NAIA-ADA," said Morgan. "I am deeply grateful for the trust placed in me by my colleagues and I'm inspired by the dedication of the leaders before me who have helped advance both the NAIA and NACDA. As we move forward, I am committed to leading through service by listening, collaborating, and supporting our NAIA-ADA members as they navigate the evolving landscape of intercollegiate athletics. This is also a tremendous opportunity to build on our strong foundation, as we continue to strengthen our profession, develop future leaders, and champion the values that make the NAIA unique." 
  
Morgan takes the reins from Dr. Jesse Godding, director of athletics at Nelson University, who will transition to Immediate Past President. Serving alongside Morgan will be: 1st Vice President Pete Dryer, director of athletics at Arizona Christian University; 2nd Vice President Tony Hoops, vice president for athletics at Northwestern College, and 3rd Vice President Chris Kraftick, athletics director at the University of the Cumberlands. 

In addition to the Officers, the 2026-27 NAIA-ADA Board of Directors will include: ; Maryann Mitts, Cottey College (AMC); Glen Crawford, Columbia College (AAC); Rob Harley, Simpson University (Cal Pac); Corey Anderson,  Bushnell University (CCC); Ian Potter, Georgia Gwinnett (CAC); Chip Wilson, Mount Vernon Nazarene University (Crossroads); Matt Stepan, Montana Tech (Frontier); Andy Bernatow, Mount Marty University (GPAC); Charlie Averkamp, Benedictine University (GSAC); Brian Evans, Paul Quinn College (HBCUAC); Troy Plummer, Grand View University (Heart);  Shawn Summe, Avila University (KCAC); Ron Pavan, Cumberland University (MSC); Tyler Unsicker, LSU-Alexandria (RRAC); Kevin Lanke, Saint Mary of the Woods (RSC); Chris Dooley, Brewton-Parker Christian (SSAC); Drew Watson, Southeastern University (Sun); and Tiffani Selhorst, Defiance College (WHAC).
