SOPHOMORE (2018): played in 20 games and started 17 for Coach Will Davis and the Lamar Cardinals…hit .120 with one double, one homerun and four RBIs…belted two hits against Hofstra on Feb. 23…drove in two runs against University of Incarnate Word on March 25.

FRESHMAN (2017): played in 26 games and started 14 for the Lamar Cardinals…hit. 164 with one double, one homerun and six RBIs with seven walks…belted a season high of two hits against Fairfield on Feb. 25…drove in a season high of two runs against Fairfield on Feb. 25 and against A&M-Corpus Christi on April 15.

HIGH SCHOOL: lettered for West Orange-Stark High School for Coach Sheal Landry…hit .407 his senior season and swiped 36 bases…first-team all-state and all-district shortstop…voted as the SETCA Player of the Year in 2016…four-time first-team all-district shortstop or second baseman…state runner-up his junior year…two-year letter winner in football and three-time for power lifting…member of the National Honor Society and Student Council…was an honor graduate with a 3.6 GPA.

PERSONAL: born Payton Robertson on June 29, 1998, in Orange, Texas...son of Brandy and Roderick Robertson…has two brothers: Nathan and Nic…has four sisters: Brittany, Ashley, Candice and Gracie…father played professional baseball in the Phillies organization and his uncle, Andre Robertson, played for the New York Yankees…majoring in General Business with a target graduation date of May 2020...plans to play baseball professionally.
