Major and Prayer Collect Conference Weekly Accolades
Shreveport, Louisiana--- The Pilots swept weekly awards following a commanding week on the Diamond. Ryan Major and Cameron Prayer garnered the RRAC weekly titles of Player and Pitcher of the week.
Ryan Major was 11-for-15 at the plate collecting a .733 average. He slammed three doubles, a triple, and a home run in a 4-0 week. He drove in four of the six runs the Pilots scored in their 6-0 win over Jarvis Christian. He collected ten RBIs and seven runs while also snagging five stolen bases. Major leads the RRAC in batting average with .493, placing him third in the NAIA as well, while being fifth in the league for RBIs at 42. He also leads the nation and the RRAC with stolen bags at 39.
Prayer had a strong week on the mound as well having started the Pilots' 13-0 win over Jarvis. Prayer pitched the full seven innings for the Pilots scattering two hits and ripping ten strikeouts. Prayer has 46 strikeouts on the season and has the third lowest ERA in the conference at 2.31.
The Pilots will be back in action Tuesday April 18th as they take on Louisiana Christian in a midweek, non-conference matchup. First pitch is set for 6:00pm CT from Pineville, Louisiana.
