Pilots Reprise Their Role At No. 2 In Final Coaches' Poll of the Regular Season

Kansas City, Missouri--- The Pilots reprise their role at number two in the final regular season Top 25 coahces Poll following the collection of four more wins to their already intense performance. The Pilots took down the Drovers of Science & Arts (OK) 12-6 in a neutral site match up and followed up with a series sweep and three-game shutout against the Bulldogs of Jarvis Christian. Having compiled 39 runs on 48 hits the Pilots sent the Bulldogs down. Shreveport currently holds a 10-3 record against other ranked or receiving schools while holding an overall record of 35-6 on the season.

 

The Pilots have many players showing off nationally as well. Ryan Major resides at number one in the nation for stolen bases (39) and number three in batting average (.494). Trevor Burkhart is knocking at the door behind Major as he is fourth in the country for stolen bases (33) while Bobby Vath is third in the nation for wins on the mound (9).

 

The Pilots will be back in action Saturday April 22nd as they take on the Steers of Texas College in a weekend series. First Pitch is set for 1:00pm CT from Pilot Field in Shreveport, Louisiana.
