Zeigler Throws Five Perfect Innings to Secure RRAC Pitcher of the Week

Waxahachie, Texas— Draven Zeigler of the Pilot baseball put in the work to help the Pilots to a 3-0 weekend during the week of January 29th- February 4th and gained himself the title of RRAC Pitcher of the Week. This is the second set of conference awards.

Zeigler picked up a win as the fifth-ranked Pilots defeated No. 23 Reinhardt University (Ga.) 6-2. The sophomore right-hander from Ash Grove, Mo., started the game with five perfect innings including an immaculate inning (nine pitches, three strikeouts) in the fifth. Zeigler left the game in the seventh inning with two runs and two hits allowed as well as nine strikeouts and one walk. LSUS moved to 4-1 overall.

The Pilots will be back in action Thursday February 8th as they open the Cajun Collision tournament against the Rams of Mobile. First pitch is set for 6:00pm CT from Sterlington, Louisiana.
