Aquino Named RRAC Player of the Week
WACO, Texas – Jose Aquino of LSU Shreveport (La.) was selected as the RRAC Baseball Player of the Week for April 15-21. This is the 13th set of weekly winners for the 2024 RRAC baseball season.
Aquino belted four home runs and drove in nine runs in the Pilots' three game sweep of Jarvis Christian University (Texas). The senior outfielder from Tampa, Fla., was 6-for-13 at the plate with a double and five runs scored. Aquino went 3-for-4 in the middle game with a solo shot, a two-run homer, and 5 RBI. He is third in the RRAC with eight homers this season, and he has collected 28 RBI. LSUS is the RRAC regular season champion at 25-2 with a 35-7 record overall.
