Brock Lucas Named RRAC Co-Pitcher of the Year
SHREVEPORT, La. -- LSU Shreveport ace Brock Lucas has been named the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Co-Pitcher of the Year, recognizing an outstanding 2026 season in which he emerged as one of the top pitchers in the NAIA.
Lucas has been the anchor of the Pilots' pitching staff all season, compiling a 9-2 record with a 1.93 ERA across 14 starts. In 79.1 innings pitched, he has limited opponents to just 49 hits while striking out 102 batters, showcasing elite command and swing-and-miss ability on the mound. His four complete games highlight both his durability and his ability to control games deep into outings.
During the season, Lucas earned RRAC Pitcher of the Week honors once, taking home the award for his performance during the week of February 9–15. That recognition underscored his ability to deliver high-level performances and set the tone for the Pilots on the mound.
Lucas's consistency has been a key factor in LSUS's success, helping guide the Pilots to a 38-12 overall record and a 20-7 mark in conference play. As a staff, LSU Shreveport owns a 3.37 ERA while holding opponents to a .240 batting average, with Lucas serving as the cornerstone of that success.
His Co-Pitcher of the Year honor adds to an already impressive season for the Pilots and highlights his role as one of the premier arms in the conference.
LSUS will open the second round of the RRAC Baseball Championship Tournament on Saturday, May 2 against Texas A&M–Texarkana, with first pitch set for 5 p.m. as Lucas and the Pilots continue their pursuit of a conference championship.
