Pilots Surge Past Texas College in RRAC Matchup, 89-65

SHREVEPORT, La. — The Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS) men's basketball team cruised to an 89-65 victory over the Texas College Steers in a Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) showdown Thursday night at The Dock. The win showcased the Pilots' depth and offensive efficiency, improving their momentum as the season progresses.

Tyler Washington led the charge for the Pilots, delivering a game-high 25 points and four steals in a commanding performance. Taj Anderson added 21 points, while Meikkel Murray contributed 14 points. Devonte Austin and Melvion Flanagan each chipped in 13 points, rounding out a balanced offensive attack. Trey Boston orchestrated the offense masterfully, dishing out a team-high 13 assists to go with his eight rebounds. Murray also grabbed eight boards, tying Boston for the team lead.

The Pilots shot an impressive 49.2% from the field and converted 82.4% of their free-throw attempts. While their three-point shooting sat at 32.4%, their relentless pace and ball movement proved too much for the Steers to handle.

For Texas College, Jacob Keys led with 16 points, followed by Romeo Postell's 13 points. Postell and Ty'Quan Neal anchored the boards with nine rebounds apiece. However, the Steers struggled to find consistency, shooting just 40.0% from the field and a dismal 19.0% from beyond the arc.

LSUS will remain at home for their next contest, hosting Louisiana Christian University on Tuesday, November 26. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at The Dock.
