Johnson Earns RRAC Offensive Player of the Week Honors

SHREVEPORT, La. -- LSU Shreveport junior guard Thaddeus Johnson has been named the Red River Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for Feb. 2-8 following a strong two-game stretch that helped power the Pilots to a 2-0 week.

Johnson averaged 24.5 points per game, highlighted by a 27-point performance against Southwest (N.M.). Over the two contests, he also totaled six rebounds, six assists, two steals, and two blocks, impacting the game on both ends of the floor.

His efforts contributed to a historic defensive outing for LSUS, as the Pilots set a new school record with 17 blocks in their win over North Texas-Dallas.

On the season, Johnson has scored 331 points and is averaging 14.4 points per game. He has also recorded 31 steals, 57 assists, and 80 rebounds, continuing to be a key contributor in LSU Shreveport's balanced attack.

LSU Shreveport is currently ranked 15th nationally and holds a 19-4 overall record, including a 16-1 mark in Red River Athletic Conference play.
