SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. – LSU Shreveport men's soccer earned a decisive 2-0 road victory Tuesday night, defeating John Brown University behind two late goals and a steady defensive performance.
The Pilots (2-0-5) broke through in the 85th minute when Jaime Zani scored off an assist from Fernando Beraldes, putting LSUS ahead late. Just four minutes later, Jordan Mati delivered the insurance goal in the 89th minute to secure the win.
In net, Sondre Liahagen-Kolnes kept a clean sheet with one save, while John Brown's Adam Tebbs registered three saves in the loss.
LSUS will return home to The Swamp on Thursday, Sept. 25, to host Texas A&M-Victoria. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
