SHREVEPORT, La. — No. 11 LSU Shreveport men's soccer extended its unbeaten run with a commanding 4-0 victory over LSU Alexandria on Thursday afternoon in The Swamp. The Pilots improve to 11-0-5 overall and remain perfect in Red River Athletic Conference play at 9-0. The Generals fall to 12-2-1 overall and 7-1-1 in the RRAC.

The Pilots struck early and often, building a 3-0 lead before the 20-minute mark. Jaime Zani opened the scoring in the 9th minute off an assist from Joel Trueb, before Jack Thomas doubled the advantage in the 18th minute, also assisted by Trueb. Just two minutes later, Zani struck again—his second of the day—off a setup from Jacob Doehman to put the Pilots in full control.

Trueb added a goal of his own in the 70th minute, capping a dominant offensive performance with an assist from Zani to make it 4-0.

Goalkeeper Sondre Liahagen-Kolnes anchored the LSUS defense with four saves to secure the clean sheet, while LSUA's Ivan Capurro finished with one save and four goals allowed over 90 minutes.

LSU Shreveport will return to action on Saturday, October 25, hosting Xavier University (La.) at 3:30 p.m. as the Pilots look to remain unbeaten in conference play.
