LSU led 20-6 after the first quarter.

The second quarter saw LCU show some improvement. Gonzalez Herrero opened with a layup to make it 22-6. Leblanc made a free throw and Kateria Gooden hit a jump shot to cut the deficit. At the 7:12 mark, both teams struggled with missed free throws and rebounds, leading LSU to call a timeout. Coleman's three-pointer at 6:18 helped restore order. Slusarek hit another three-pointer at 4:38, and Markisic made a layup at 2:49 to extend the lead to 40-11. LSU led 44-13 at halftime.

The third quarter featured continued LSU dominance despite some LCU scoring. Gonzalez Herrero's layup at 9:14 started a productive quarter for her. LSU built their lead to 53-15 by the 8:04 mark. LCU had several turnovers forced by LSU's defense. The Wildcats scored 17 points in the quarter, but LSU's balanced attack kept the game out of reach. Herrero's layup at 3:20 showed improved ball movement. LSU led 63-31 after three quarters.

The fourth quarter allowed LSU to use bench players, but the outcome remained the same. Gonzalez Herrero opened with a three-pointer. Gooden found her rhythm with a three-pointer at 6:49, but LSU's depth was too strong. Markisic hit a three-pointer at 1:55 and Slusarek made another at 0:48 to finish the game.

Markisic led LSU with 23 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and five steals. Her defense created turnovers that led to easy baskets. Herrero finished with 21 points, three rebounds, three steals, two assists, and two blocks, showing versatility across all areas. Slusarek added 19 points and six rebounds, providing the offensive spark with her three-point shooting that stretched the defense. Coleman contributed six rebounds, five steals, and four assists, creating steals that led to fast break opportunities. L'Etang dominated inside with eight rebounds and three blocks, altering several LCU shot attempts. Christophe had six rebounds, and Fleenor provided early contributions with baskets and assists.

For LCU, Gooden recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, working effectively against LSU's defense to find opportunities in the paint. Olivier added nine points, including several three-pointers in the fourth quarter. Carey, Leblanc, and Thompson each scored eight points, with Thompson's fourth-quarter layup being one of LCU's better offensive sequences.

LSUS will host the University of the Southwest at The Dock on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025, at 5:30 PM.
