LSU Shreveport Women’s Basketball Receiving Votes in NAIA Top 25 Poll

SHREVEPORT, La. – The LSU Shreveport women's basketball team is receiving votes in the latest NAIA Women's Basketball Coaches Top 25 Poll, continuing its strong start to the 2025–26 season.

The Pilots were ranked No. 25 in the Preseason Coaches Top 25 Poll released Oct. 22 before falling out of the rankings and receiving votes in the Nov. 12 poll. LSUS again received votes in the Nov. 26 poll and remains among the programs on the national radar. LSUS currently sits at 9-2 overall and is a perfect 5-0 in Red River Athletic Conference play. The Pilots have won five of their last six games, most recently earning an impressive 85-49 road victory over Louisiana Christian University.

Offensively, the Pilots are led by Selma Markisic, who is averaging 16.9 points per game. Newcomer Toni Coleman has provided an immediate spark on both ends of the floor, averaging 12.1 points, 4.6 steals, and 3.7 assists per game. In the paint, newcomers Amandine L'Etang and Ally Fleenor have been key contributors. L'Etang is averaging 6.7 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game, while Fleenor adds 5.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists per contest.

LSU Shreveport will return to action on Thursday, Dec. 18, when the Pilots host the University of the Southwest at The Dock. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
