Uriarte Named RRAC Offensive Player of the Week After Three-Goal Performance

SHREVEPORT, La. — LSU Shreveport's Mada Uriarte has been named the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Offensive Player of the Week after a stellar showing that powered the Pilots to two key conference victories.

Uriarte found the back of the net three times over the weekend, beginning with a goal in LSUS's 4-1 win over Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas) on Thursday. She followed that with a two-goal performance on Saturday, leading the Pilots to a 3-2 victory over Texas A&M University-San Antonio.

The standout week moved Uriarte into a tie for seventh in the RRAC with 19 total points this season. Her offensive consistency has been instrumental in helping the Pilots maintain their perfect conference record.

LSUS remains atop the RRAC standings at 6-0, improving to 7-5 overall. The Pilots will look to continue their momentum on Thursday, Oct. 16, when they travel to face Jarvis Christian University. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
