SHREVEPORT, La. – The No. 12 LSU Shreveport men's soccer team earned a 2-0 win over Texas College on Thursday afternoon in The Swamp. With the result, the Pilots improve to 6-0-5 overall and 4-0 in Red River Athletic Conference play. Texas College falls to 0-6 and 0-4 in the RRAC.

After controlling possession throughout the first half, LSUS finally broke through in the 67th minute when Pablo Fuentes connected on a goal assisted by Oliver Bates. The Pilots added insurance in the 88th minute as Fernando Beraldes netted the second goal of the match.

Goalkeeper Pieri Mack went the full 90 minutes for the Pilots without facing a shot on goal, as LSUS kept the pressure on the Steers' defense for nearly the entire match. Texas College's Alan Garcia finished with 13 saves while allowing two goals.

The Pilots will return to action on Thursday, Oct. 9, when they host Our Lady of the Lake at 3:30 p.m. in The Swamp.
