SHREVEPORT, La. – LSU Shreveport men's soccer continued its dominant run through Red River Athletic Conference play with a convincing 3-0 victory over Our Lady of the Lake University on Thursday afternoon at The Swamp.
The Pilots controlled the tempo from the opening whistle, applying steady pressure and capitalizing on key moments in front of goal. LSUS broke through in the 32nd minute when Joel Trueb buried a setup from Marcos De Elias, putting the Pilots ahead 1-0.
In the second half, LSUS turned up the intensity with two quick goals just a minute apart. Jack Thomas doubled the lead in the 59th minute off assists from Jaime Zani and Trueb, and moments later, Zani found the back of the net himself in the 60th to cap the scoring.
Defensively, the Pilots backline kept the Saints without a shot on goal, as Sondre Liahagen-Kolnes and Jordan Bidaisee combined for the clean sheet. Liahagen-Kolnes played 74:54 in net, while Bidaisee closed out the final 15 minutes and change—neither required to make a save.
With the win, LSU Shreveport improves to 7-0-5 overall and 5-0 in RRAC play, while OLLU drops to 2-8-2 (1-4 RRAC).
The Pilots will look to extend their unbeaten conference streak when they host Texas A&M-San Antonio on Saturday, Oct. 11, at 3:30 p.m. in The Swamp.
